HORACE EMPOWERMENT

Horace Empowerment proudly hosts the annual Track and Field Honors Awards Luncheon—an inspiring celebration of athletic and academic excellence..

This prestigious event honors the top High School student-athletes in Track and Field from the Muscogee County School District. Selected through coach recommendations and standout performances at the City Championship, these young athletes have demonstrated remarkable dedication—not only on the track but also in the classroom.

The luncheon showcases the powerful role sports play in developing life skills such as discipline, teamwork, and time management. By recognizing their achievements, we aim to inspire the next generation to pursue greatness both on and off the track.

Scholarships

During the luncheon, we’ll award the Richard Lane Campbell Track Scholarship to a deserving student aiming to pursue higher education and participate in Track and Field at the collegiate level.

Our story…

“We created The Track and Field Honors to give recognition and support to the athletes in track and field who are so often overlooked—because they deserve to be Seen, Celebrated, and Supported.”

—Horace

About The Track and Field Honors
The Track and Field Honors was founded by Rosalene and Markeith Horace to recognize and uplift student-athletes in one of the most demanding and often overlooked sports—track and field.

As parents of athletes who excelled in the sport, the Horaces saw a gap in recognition, support, and scholarship opportunities for these young competitors. Determined to create change, they established The Track and Field Honors as a platform to spotlight excellence, award scholarships, and elevate the next generation of runners, jumpers, and throwers.

Hosted by Horace Empowerment Inc., the program continues to grow—honoring student-athletes, partnering with schools and sponsors, and investing in the academic and athletic futures of youth across Georgia and beyond.
