Horace Empowerment Inc. is a 501c3 Non-Profit Organization founded in 2004 by the husband and wife team, Rosalene and Markeith Horace.

Our mission is to empower and uplift the youth and young adults through charity, education and scholarships.

Through programs like The Beauty Honors, The Track & Field Honors, Beyond the Diploma, and Youth Worshops, we focus on education, scholarships, and skill development — helping youth and underserved communities overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.

By empowering individuals, we create a ripple effect that uplifts families and communities, building a brighter and more equitable future for all.

Teen Workshops

At Horace Empowerment, our Teen Workshops go beyond beauty to focus on the whole person. We provide a safe, open space for young people to learn about real-life challenges and how to make positive choices for their future.

Through interactive sessions on teen pregnancy prevention, STD/STI awareness, and drug abuse prevention, we empower teens with knowledge, resources, and support. Our goal is to equip the next generation with the tools they need to make informed decisions, care for their well-being, and build a healthier, brighter future.

College Readiness Workshops…

Our College Readiness Workshop, Beyond the Diploma, is designed to prepare students for the exciting — and sometimes overwhelming — transition into college life.

Through candid conversations, experienced college students share real insights with incoming freshmen: what to expect on campus, how to build effective study habits, and ways to balance academic and social life.

We also prioritize safety, equipping students with practical tips on navigating campus life responsibly, including party safety and personal well-being.

By combining peer mentorship, academic guidance, and life skills, Beyond the Diploma empowers students with the knowledge and confidence they need to succeed in college and beyond.

The Beauty Honors…

Horace Empowerment Inc. is proud to present The Beauty Honors Awards Show, an occasion designed to honor and award o beauty professionals. Think of it as the Oscars of Beauty! This prestigious program recognizes accomplished stylists, barbers, makeup artists, and other beauty technicians. In addition, we will pay tribute to our 'Lifetime Achievement Stylists,' acknowledging those who have dedicated over 30 years to the beauty industry. The event will feature great food, fun, and entertainment, all in the name of scholarships.

As Horace Empowerment's hallmark fundraising program, The Beauty Honors serves a dual purpose: Celebrating excellence in the beauty industry while also raising crucial funds to support scholarships and youth-focused initiatives.

The Track and Field Honors Awards Luncheon celebrates the outstanding achievements of MCSD’s top student-athletes. These remarkable young men and women have excelled both on the track and in the classroom, proving that discipline and determination lead to success.

This annual event highlights the power of sports in shaping character, teaching teamwork, and building life skills. A highlight of the luncheon is the presentation of the Richard Lane Campbell Track Scholarship, awarded to a deserving student pursuing higher education and continuing their track and field journey at the collegiate level.

It’s an inspiring tradition that honors the next generation of champions.

    This red-carpet gala not only honors outstanding beauty professionals but also serves a greater purpose: raising funds for cosmetology scholarships, the Business Boost grant, youth workshops, and the Track & Field Honors Scholarship program.

    The 4th Annual Track and Field Honors will celebrate and recognize the top student-athletes in MCSD Track and Field. This inspiring event highlights their achievements both on the track and in the classroom, while also presenting the Richard Lane Campbell Track and Field Scholarship to a deserving student-athlete pursuing higher education.

    Our Beyond the Diploma College Readiness Workshop is a fun and informative session designed to help high school seniors and incoming freshmen prepare for the transition into college life. Students will learn practical do’s and don’ts for balancing academics with social activities, plus important tips for staying safe on campus.

    The event also features refreshments, door prizes, and real talk that equips students with the confidence and tools they need to thrive.
